Keyword difficulty

Keyword difficulty or SEO difficulty estimation: The difficulty of ranking on the first SERP when optimizing keywords, ranging from 0 to 100.

How to calculate keyword difficulty:

  1. First, calculate the overall link file strength (LPS) of each URL on the first Google SERP. It is based on the widely used Moz metrics (domain name and page authority) and Majestic metrics (reference flow, trust flow).
  1. After obtaining the LPS value, both the highly authorized URL and the low authorized URL are considered in the first SERP to calculate the Keyword Difficulty (KD). This is because the lower authority can be higher than the others.

Keyword difficulty cache

Get the keyword difficulty by clicking on the keyword row. Generally, data can be cached for up to 30 days.

For keywords that no one clicks within 30 days, the score will be stored for a longer period of time.

Hover the mouse over the KD value to see the exact date of the last update.
